Frances Black

From What's on North West

Frances Black comes from one of the most celebrated of all of Ireland's musical families. She is the younger sister of Mary and a member of the group The Black Family, which features three of her brothers. After working a long apprenticeship with them and another group called Arcady, she finally went solo. Success was immediate, and she had two tracks included on what became the best-selling album in the history of Irish popular music, A Woman's Heart. Since then, it's been a question of more releases and a heavy touring schedule. The inexorable rise continues.
