The Frances Black mailing lists are special e-mail address to which you can subscribe. When someone sends a message to one of these e-mail addresses everyone who is subscribed to that list, will get that message in his or her mailbox. This is a very effective way to communicatie with other Frances Black fans.

There are two different Frances Black Mailing lists:

• The Frances Black Mailing list for fans (fblack@yahoogroups.com).
• The Frances Black Mailing list for news (fblack-news@yahoogroups.com).

The first mailinglist is for fans to discusses all kinds of topics about Frances Black and her music. The second is for receiving news about concerts and new releases only. Everyone who is subscribed to the first mailing list can sent an e-mail message to that list, which will be received by everybody who is subscribed to that list. Every message sent to the second mailing list must be approved by myself (this is called a moderated list). If I approve the message it will be automatically mailed to everyone subscribed to this list.

You can subscribe to both mailing lists. But remember: if you only want news about Frances Black and do not want all kinds of discussions you should subscribe to only the news list.

To join one of the lists, simply follow the instructions in the How to subscribe? section. But first here are some general rules for these lists:

• The purpose of this list is to talk about, change information about, legally swap items related and/or discuss topics regarding Frances Black. So try to keep the contents of your messages related to Frances and her music (well, messages about related artists, like Mary Black etc. or no problem, as long as you keep in mind that this is a Frances Black mailinglist).
• This list is in no way directly connected to Frances Black or her record company. The members and maintainers of this list do not directly represent Frances Black.
• No illegal and commercial activities are allowed on the list.
• Leave every member of the list in his or her value. We are all human beings with feelings.
• Remember that some members do not have english as their main language, so do not attack people on their language.
• The maintainers of the list have the right to remove people of the list who do not follow the above rules.

These mailing lists have some special features. You can read old messages, choose if you want every message mailed to you directly or all message of one day in one mail message (this is called a digest). You can also choose to only view to messages on the web. You can change all these settings on the web yourself by following the instructions from you subscription confirmation.

Unsubscribing via E-mail
To unsubscribe from the Frances Black Mailinglist via e-mail, send an empty e-mail to fblack-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Be sure your e-mail program is adjusted to send mail from the address you want unsubscribed. If you are not sure what address you are subscribed as, you will find the address used to reach you in the "Return-Path" header of the message you received.

Unsubscribing via the Web
To unsubscribe via the Web:

go to groups.yahoo.com
click on "my groups"
click on the name of the group.
click on the "unsubscribe" option under the "membership" header.

Alternatively you may wish to remain a member of the group, but cut down on the volume of e-mail that you may be receiving. In the "Delivery Options" menu under the "membership" header, you can select "Daily digests" to receive periodic digests via e-mail. Select "No email" to remain subscribed to the group and view messages on the group's home page but not receive e-mail from the group.
